FAQ
Questions cafés ask
Can I put my whole menu on it?
Yes. Menus and price lists come with Business sites, so your food and drink get a proper page rather than a photo of the board. When the menu changes, send it to me (small changes are $45 each, or covered by the care plan), or add edit it yourself and change it in a simple editor.
Can people order ahead from the site?
Yes, linked to Square or similar: the Order ahead button goes straight to your ordering page there. If you want ordering built into the site itself, that's quoted separately, under Integrations.
Can I start on Starter and move up later?
Yes. What you paid for Starter comes off Business, so you only pay the difference. If you only want one part of it, like booking, I'll quote just that, which is often less.
Can I change my opening hours myself?
Yes, with the edit it yourself add-on. It's a one-off $399 and gives you a simple editor for your text, photos, prices and opening hours. Without it, send the change to me and I'll do it.
Will it show up on Google?
Every site is set up for Google: page titles and descriptions, a sitemap, and Search Console. To show up on Google Maps as well, I can set up your Google Business Profile and link it to the site, as an add-on at $99.
Can my latest Instagram posts show on the site?
It's possible, but it isn't included. Showing your latest posts means connecting to Instagram's own system, so it comes under the Integrations add-on, which I quote. Tell me on the call and I'll say what it takes. Linking to your Instagram from the site is no problem at all.
How long does it take?
Starter sites usually take 1 to 3 weeks and Business sites 2 to 4, from the day you say yes. Having your text and photos ready is the biggest thing that speeds it up.
Who hosts it?
You do, in your own accounts. I set up the hosting and domain with you, put the site live and hand everything over. If you host on Vercel, which is what I'd recommend, it's $20 a month, or $40 a month if you add me to your Vercel team.
Do you write the words and find the photos?
You supply the text, photos and logo. If you'd like help with the writing, copywriting is an add-on I can do for you. I don't do photography, though.
