How much does a website cost?
Starter sites start at $999 and Business sites at $1,999 while founding places last, then $1,499 and $2,999. Online shops depend on what you sell, so I quote those. Hosting and your domain are paid by you, direct to the provider.
Do I own the website?
Yes. Once it's paid in full, the site and the code I wrote for it are yours. A few things are licensed rather than owned, like fonts, stock photos and tools I reuse across projects, and I'll list those in your agreement.
Who hosts it?
You do, in your own accounts. I set up the hosting and domain with you, put the site live and hand everything over. If you host on Vercel, which is what I'd recommend, it's $20 a month, or $40 a month if you add me to your Vercel team.
Can I edit it myself?
Yes, if you want to. The edit it yourself add-on is a one-off cost and gives you a simple editor for your text, photos, prices and opening hours. Or just send changes to me, through the care plan or as one-offs. Small changes, anything up to about half an hour, are $45 each, and bigger jobs I'll quote first.
How long does it take?
Starter sites usually take 1 to 3 weeks and Business sites 2 to 4, from the day you say yes. Having your text and photos ready is the biggest thing that speeds it up.
How does payment work?
50% up front to book your slot, and 50% when the site's finished.
What's founding client pricing?
I'm starting Sites by Panda, so my first 5 clients get a lower price. After that the prices go up. Nothing else changes. You get exactly the same work.
Can you redesign my current website?
Yes. A redesign uses the same packages as a new site. If it's a site I built for you and you just want changes, they can go through the care plan, or small changes are $45 each, and anything bigger I'll quote first.
Do you write the words and find the photos?
You supply the text, photos and logo. If you'd like help with the writing, copywriting is an add-on I can do for you. I don't do photography, though.
What if I need something more complicated?
If it's more of an app than a website, that's what AutomatedPanda is for. Same person, just a different kind of build.
